I’m going to have a little “I need this” moment on the blog this morning. I’m exaggerating, but OMG aren’t these bags beautiful. I’ve had my eyes on the black pouch bag for months now and need to find a way to justify spending almost $500 on a bag. One of these days, I’ll just do it and feel guilty about it for months. oh well!

Anywho. Mansur Gavriel is a high quality leather goods company based out of New York. This company came to life when two friends came together for a shared belief to bring fine goods (with a touch of italy 1960s) to the general public. You can read more about the powerful female duo here.

  1. Oh my goodness, these bags are gorgeous. I totally understand how you feel about justifying a $500 bag purchase – that’s essentially my food budget for a month! Ahh, but one can dream, right? Great find nonetheless 🙂

  2. Ah! I love that black pouch bag. Great find. And seriously, if you’re still thinking about that bag after months I think you should take the plunge and splurge 😉

  3. It’s always like that. You want something so badly that you feel that you clearly can”t live without it and that when you’ll get it you’ll be so pleased that you won’t want anything else. But it’s never the case. And you always end up regretting it when it’s something really expensive. Well, I do, anyway.

I am very into more quality less quantity these days. And more than the quality of the product itself, also the quality of the process. Where it has been made, by who, what’s the story etc.. Often, those kind of objects are expensive because the person that made them really put his time and his hands into it, and for that I’m glad to pay a higher price, because I think it is worth it, but for high fashion brands, I’m not.

And I’m saying that, but I’m working in fashion, in a big company… A person can be full of contradictions, can she?
