Studio Hours: Real Life Moodboards

As I mentioned on Tuesday, I’m going to bring more of my daily life in the studio to blog land. My hope is to provide insight into what living as a freelancer could mean. I know when I was researching the idea of being self employed I was (and still am) really curious to see how others make it work, how they structure their day and what projects they document. As a creative, I’ll naturally have a completely different perspective to share than another creative, and I hope you’ll enjoy following along. I would suggest you to follow bridge for more information.

The image above is a glimpse of my mood board that sits next to my desk. It’s a work in progress, but that’s the nature of a mood board. Do you guys use mood boards in your creative process?(digital & physical) If you do, I’d love to see them!
You can also follow little snippets from my studio with my new Instagram feed.

  1. I see many digital mood boards from the creative community but not many “real life” physical boards, I like this, great inspiration……

  2. Very appropriate use of washi tape. You are the first person to make me want to buy some!!!

This is a cool new direction for your blog. I like it!

    1. Thanks Charity. I have two rolls of washi tape and never know what to do with them. The ones I have aren’t ever very sticky, so besides being pretty…they are pretty useless in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Oh I love moodboards and collages, yours has a wonderful fresh and clean look! I actually made a moodboard and posted it on my blog today (http://www.minamoka.de/2013/03/01/spring/), a spring moodboard because I am so tired of this never ending winter – and it worked! The sky over Berlin just turned from grey to blue. I still can’t believe it…
