Hello lovely Thursday blog readers. I get to share something with you that I’ve just been bursting at the seams to talk about. At the end of last year, I was approached by Carly Nance, on of the co-founders of the soon to be launched The Citizenry brand. We spoke on the phone for hours those first few weeks, gushing over minimalist interior design, the sprit of travel and the ups and downs of running your own business. We connected like two peas in a pod. Soon I would find out that her business partner Rachel was just as giddy about everything as we were.
The Citizenry is a home goods brand based on the worshipping of quality handmade pieces, brought all the way home from the most remote artistic corners of the world. These two gals are rockstars and have been scouring the globe to track down the best craftsman, weavers and artisans to work with on their upcoming collection. Think minimalistic home interior design that is infused with the spirit of travel and limited edition pieces. All of this greatness is coming in May, 2014.
I’m over the moon excited to be selected as the team’s partner in crime when it comes to design and styling. I’ve been helping the team establish their entire brand language from the ground up and this post is a little sneak peek as to what’s to come in the future. Because I’ll be working with The Citizenry on a regular basis, you’ll can lots of snippets of the journey. I already have a flood of ideas for the window decals. Eeee. I’m just so excited to be a part of a brand’s journey that I’m beyond passionate about.
