Hand-Picked over @ Emmadime // 5

Today’s another hand-picked day over at Emma’s blog( Emmadime ) and I’m really excited about this one. Naturally as a lover of all things old and vintage, the industrial look grabs my attention. The fun thing about this gift idea is that you don’t have to buy from a store, but you can hunt down the items in your local thrift stores or antique malls!

If you aren’t familiar with Emma and her blog, I guarantee that you’ll fall in love with everything she has to offer. I promise! Don’t forget to stop by every Thursday for some new ideas!

Wanted This Week // Guest Post on Pennyweight

Today’s I’m guest posting for Elise over on Pennyweight , sharing some of my favorite items in blog/internet land in her weekly feature called Wanted This Week. I love stopping by each week to see some favorites of some fellow bloggers. Stop by yourself and take a look! Thanks Elise for having me!

recreate it / 06

Hey there! For this week’s recreate it, I challenge you guys to get all organized on me, okay?! I always love seeing random items and objects neatly laid out nicely and photographed. There are so many different outcomes that can happen that it’s almost like an art in itself! So when I saw this spread in NEET magazine, of course I fell in love.

So what do you say? Find some cool objects in your place and arrange them how you’d like! In this spread, they used all sorts of colors, but you can also limit yourself to one or two colors to make things even more neat and tidy. Honestly, showing little collections of things you own could make for a pretty cool blog series if you want to give it a try! I’d love to see them, that’s for sure!

Don’t forget to check out Cassie’s post over on my blog, moxee.

With Gift giving just around the corner, I’m needing some shopping ideas and thanks to one of my best guy pals, we’ve got some amazing gift ideas. Who would know better than a guy right? John from A Design Mafia has great taste and because he’s also a designer, he has an eye for beautifully designed things. Hope you see something you can buy your guy pal this year. Guys are always sooo difficult to buy for, aren’t they!?  I’m REALLY loving the pants! Thanks John for your help!

Let’s just say Minimega will make you one happy camper, so I suggest you go check it out if you haven’t already.

If you know of any other stunning paper shops I should check out, let me know!

Watercolors by Flora Douville

I came across the work of Flora Douville via Mint Design blog weekly link list. It was love at first sight. I truly admire those who have watercolor skills. Everytime I attempt the technique I end up with a wet loppy piece of paper wth everything running together. Take a look at her online shop where she sells her painting and photographs. She also has a really great blog where she gives you sneak peeks into her process.

Enjoy!
