Brian's Eye for the simplest of simple

I have recently been following Brian W. Ferry’s work and loving everything about it. Like me, he tries to capture the everyday simple moments that come across his camera’s lens. Him images capture all the perfect lighting and angles to turn those everyday simple objects into something really amazing.

Andrew & Carissa

If you’ve been following Kinfolk at all and those who contribute, you’ll run across the work of Photographer, Carissa Galo and Videographer, Andrew Galo. I’ve been follow this pair’s work for over a year now and checking in here and there to see how their daughter’s adoption was going. These two are full of love and their work shows it.

As an amateur photographer I’m constantly on the look out for people who have found a style of imagery they can call their own. I go to their BLOG account for ooodles of constant inspiration. Enjoy!

* a special thank you to Carissa who has been helping me with my own photography. I really appreciate the guidance.

trampoline vintage

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. I’m stopping by today to see if you have seen what Trampoline vintage (via Etsy) has had in stock these past months? Wowzers. I’ve been following Kim (from Portland) and her shop for over a year now and I must say, these past few months have been really amazing. Her styling is on point and the vintage curation makes me envious. She sure has an eye for pretty things and making you want to buy everything in her shop. The above images are just a few images of the perfection.

If you haven’t stopped by to see all the goodies, please do! Enjoy!

Call Me Cupcake

[vimeo 32041934 w=750&h=420]

Just so happens, Call Me Cupcake is my new favorite food blog. “Why is that”, you ask??? Because its all about sweet treats and everyone that knows me, knows sweets are my main food group.

This blog is beautifully done with amazing food photography, story telling, and of course, recipe sharing. I envy Linda’s skills, but with her wonderful blog and relatively simple recipes, I think I can pull it off too!

The first on my baking to-do list are the s’more cupcakes. YUMMM.

About this time of year…

It’s that time of year when the occasional surprise warm fall days are gone for good and the nip in the air is here to stay, for many many more months…This is the time of year when the excitement of the upcoming holiday masks the reality of the long winter to come. This is the time of the year when I start looking at photos of warmer places and close my eyes and pretend the warmth from my space heater is actually from the sun. Call me a dreamer.

I came across these photos by amazing photographer Lou Mora and I felt like they captured everything I dream about.

Rose & Crown // Built With Love

Today is Thanksgiving in the US and although the blog I’m about to share with you celebrated their Thanksgiving a few weeks back (Canadian Thanksgiving), the photos are full of love and perfect for today. Rose & Crown captures real life, real moments, and the beauty of simple things. I like to say Rose & Crown is built with Love.

Please stop by the blog and watch your heart slowly melt. The images in today’s post really brought the spirit of the season to life. Love them all 🙂 These photos have also reminded me to take lots of photos this Holiday season. Things have been pretty crazy around here lately and I miss my camera.

Happy Thanksgiving!

She's More Than Food

If you’ve been following this blog for any amount of time, you may know I adore Melbourn based photographer Katie Davis. She has a foodie blog called What Katie Ate and OMG…her photos are yummy. If you want to cook delicious dishes then checkout recipes on this page. More recently, Katie has decided to share some snapshots from other places she goes, whether it be a magazine shoot or a little vacation. Her entire blog shows have versatile her photography is.

Stop by HER BLOG, if you haven’t already and take a peek at Katie’s adventures.

Roost's Yummy Goodies

Roost, a discovery worth sharing. I came across this blog a few months back, but keep forgetting to mention its awesomeness. Roost is a foodie blog with a little bit of life thrown in for fun. Caitlin, a freelance graphic designer and photo stylist writes about what inspires her, shares recipes from her kitchen, and educated others about a grain-free diet (read more about why here). Her photography is out of this world and her food is mouth watering. Please stop by for some eye-candy!

The LomoKino Super 35

I can’t tell if I just love the website, or if I feel like I need one of these babies to add to my camera collections. The Lomokino Super 35 is a Lomography movie camera that shoots short on 35mm film. AND you can buy the LomoKinoScope to watch your analogue movie! You can even bundle to two together and get both for $99. Can’t beat that. These babies are just so stinkin’ cute!

Visit the LomoKino Screening room to see what the camera is capable of and to watch a bunch of user submitted videos!
