show me your cozy corners!

Especially your bookshelves! I’ve got books on the brain and I’m looking for really great book/magazine storage ideas. My books are currently nestled together on leaning shelves that are scattered throughout my loft. My magazines are in a plastic cube. (not so stylish) I want one of those bookshelves that you stop in front of and ooo and aaaa over. Below are some of the images I’ve been collecting for inspiration. Now all I need to do is get lucky in an antique/thrift store and stumble upon a beauty.

Send me pics/links of your bookshelves. I’d love to see how everyone is uniquely storing their bound beauties.

  1. I have a long term plan to run a shelf for books above all the door frames in our upstairs landing as we are running out of room downstairs. The landing is small and essentially it just has 6 doors and no other space so when they are all shut with a shelf of books above, in a kind of semi circle, I thought it might look a bit curious in a good way. Plan was light paperbacks but am still not sure how they would hold up to small toddler slamming doors below… If anyone has done it I’d love to see or hear how it worked out.

    1. Love your idea. Maybe if you stack the books on top of each other instead of next to each other it would prevent little kids from knocking them down. Thanks for the suggestion!
