on cherokee street

Walking down Cherokee street is most likely going to be an entertaining little stroll. This area is booming with hispanic culture and is slowly being taken over by a growing art scene. (print making studios, art galleries, unique shops/cafes) The streets are dirty, the passing music is load with rattling bumpers, and there is enough graffiti to turn the streets into colorful walkways. You never know what you’ll find out there, but I’ve grown accustomed to… great mexican food, a diverse cultural scene, and the need to wash your hands.

  1. I’ve had that mandarin soda before! Only once, a few years ago, but I remember it was absolutely not a disappointment.
That looks like a really lovely place to explore. Minus the “need to wash your hands” part. Hahah.

  2. I LOVE areas like this. We have little neighborhoods like this in Dallas and they are some of my favorite places to just be. To see all of the wonderful colors and textures surrounding you. Everything is so vibrant and lively. :] and I really love going to Mexican bakeries. My fave things to get are pumpkin empanadas and pink conchas. So yummy w/ coffee.

  3. Wow, what a fun area! I love seeing little corners of various cities like this. We live in pretty hardcore rurality so it’s nice to see something different.:)
