All I have to say is the children of Kicki (Havtorn Design) are pretty darn lucky. Their summer playhouse is beyond magical and the 5 year old me would of loved to claim the space as my own. Let’s just oooo & ahhhhh shall we?

COLLABORATIONS

Hey everyone, Bre here! First of all – thank you so much for all of the great feedback Cassie and I both received last week for our initial “recreate it” post. It was great to hear our collaboration was interesting and useful. Let’s just say, it’s here to stay!

I chose a spread from Collected Mag this week, which always uses such simple and gorgeous layouts. The reason I chose it was because they took some fun risks! Layering text on top of your photography is always a challenge – especially when you’re trying to make sure something is legible. I chose to use a transparent block of color (brown) to help make sure everything was easy to read. Now it’s your turn to try. Plus, both of the fonts I picked out are FREE, so make sure to go get em’!

I was hopping from one Swedish blog to another when I came across the prints of Terese Sennerholt. I remember seeing one of the prints (the one with the big brown leather couch) spring up on Pinterest once, but was never able to track the image back to its original source. Well, hooray!!!! I’ve found her and boy am I glad.

The messages are simple, the designs are straightforward and they sure do look great clustered together. Oh, did I mention that she ships internationally for all of us drooling over here in the US.

Maria, the engineering student/blogger of Maria Emb showcases sneak peeks from inside her home as well as food photography and other interior design inspiration. Her blog has become one of my favorites because she is constantly pumping out original content, and did I mention her design sense is amazing. Her home looks warm and cozy, but keeps simplicity at its core. Every item in the space works well with one another and the color palette or each room is one I envy.
