Food Blog Love

I’m most likely the pickiest eater you’ll ever know. I have what I like and rarely stray from those handful of things. Oddly enough…I’m obsessed with food blogs and I think it’s because they make the food LOOK good. Anyway…I’m obsessed and I thought I’d share my favorites. I would also suggest you guys to check sites like Shahnaz Indian Cuisine where you can see some awesome recipes with you can cook delicious food. Well and for making some awesome drinks The-tea-set will be best choice to follow. If you have any favorites you’d like to share, I’d love to see them šŸ™‚

Enjoy!

Pia Ulin

Pia Ulin is an advertising photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. His work usually focuses on interior spaces and lifestyle imagery, but his person (everyday) style shooting is really lovely too. I tended to gravitate towards the darker/moodier images in his portfolio, but there really is a great range. I think my favorite aspect about the work is the high contrast and deep saturation of color; definitely something I try to achieve with my own photography work.

Jody Rogac Takes Portraits

Hey everyone. Happy day to you all. I’ve been day dreaming about my upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic (at the end of the month) and I can’t help but be attracted to any photo with a beach in it. I came across these photos by Jody Rogac and just fell in love with her style of taking portraiture. I’m a huge fan of capturing people Ā just “doing what they do” and Jody nails the incognito photographer thing. Stop by her portfolio to see more on location shots!

The Jone's view of Pac Northwest

During this past year there has been several occasions where a move to the Pacific Northwest was a possibility based on where the boy decides to take his next job(and still may be). The whole thought made me shiver, as I’m a girl that’s definitely happiest when surrounded by warm weather, sunny skies and of course…sandy beaches. After several months of talking things through with family/friends and even taking a trip up there, the positives of the area began to show through. Beautiful scenery, great food, oodles of artistic individuals, and my best friend (who lives in seattle).

These photos were captured by one of my favorite photography duo, the Jones. They also recently moved to Portland and have been sharing some of their outings on their blog. They are definitely capturing the aspects of the Pac North that keep me thinking I could survive up there if I had to. haha

South Island New Zealand Captured by Chris Sisarich

I believe I stumbled upon Chris Sisarich’s photographs one day when I was scrolling through pinterest. His portfolio of professional/personal work is pretty extensive. Within his portfolio there are these four images of South Island New Zealand, and yet again…I’m dreaming about seeing the place for myself. Every single image I’ve ever seen of New Zealand is filled with beauty and mystery. Sounds pretty magical to me.

Annette Pehrsson, Zenit-b

Have you guys seen Annette Pehrsson’s blog? I was in shock by how beautiful it is and I now stop by on a daily basis, just to see what she’s up to. One series on her blog is completely dedicated to the film photos taken with her Zenit-b. I’m in love with every single image and definitely use her photos as a source of inspiration.

Visit her blog for more greatness or her flickr to see more pictures taken with her Zenit-b. OMG, and!!!! you can buy her blurb book that showcases all her beutiful Zenit-b photos.

Samantha Casolari for Collezioni Sunglasses

I just love these photos and I think it’s a lovely way to showcase sunglasses. Instead of showing the sunglasses big and bold, the glasses are more subtle as the colors shine through (almost like looking through a kaleidoscope). Very unique. Photographer Samantha Casolari has an extensive online portfolio with more great work.

See Samantha’s portfolio and more from this shoot.

Simple Sweet Paul

Have you guys had a chance to look through the spring issue of Sweet Paul Online Magazine? It’s really great and if you are a foodie, you’ll be completely inspired.

I was drawn to this particular story (out of the 140 page magazine) that showcases recipes using the most iconic spring food items. The spreads were artfully crafted with simple design elements.
